The division currently has three full-time Community Outreach Officers. All three Community Outreach Officers are available for presentations to the public on a host of Crime Reduction Topics. By building a strong partnership with the citizens of Pearland, as well as with civic organizations, community leaders, school officials, students, and local businesses, the Community Outreach Division meets the law enforcement needs of the community. Community Policing is more than just a term to our department, it is a philosophy.
The Community Outreach Unit is under the supervision of Sergeant Summer Neal. Sergeant Neal has been with the Pearland Police Department since 2005.
Officer Chad Rogers has served with Pearland Police Department since 2005. Officer Rogers leads the Citizens Police Academy and Businesses & Badges.
Officer James White has served Pearland Police Department since 2008. Officer White's responsibilities include Teen CPA, IMPACT, and recruiting. He is also the liaison for KTSU radio 90.9FM The Choice for both recruiting and outreach events.
Officer Ryden Cohen has been with the Pearland Police Department since 2008. Officer Cohen oversees the Police Junior Cadet Program and the Senior Outreach program. He serves as the liaison with Apartment Managers and Civic Organizations.
