The Pearland Police Department is launching IMPACT, a proactive and collaborative initiative for faith-based organizations in Pearland. This initiative will include quarterly meetings between faith-based organization and the Police Department, beginning on June 10, 2021.  By partnering with these organizations, the Pearland Police Department expects to develop a winning collaboration with which to create a mechanism for community problem-solving in Pearland community while strengthening trust and communication with all community members. For many years, cities have worked closely in partnership with faith and community serving organizations.  

The primary goals of the initiative include: 

• Strengthening partnerships and trust between law enforcement, faith-based organizations and the community. 
• Furthering the role of the community and faith-based organizations as a partner in crime reduction efforts. 
• Identifying and addressing social issues that diminish the quality of life in communities.
