The Administrative Services Division Commander is Captain Mike Vance. Capt. Vance is a Pearland native and joined the Police Department in Sept. 1994. He has been a licensed Police Instructor since Aug. 1998 and served on patrol, as a police supervisor and overseeing our School Resource Officers and the Criminal Investigations Division. In 2002, Capt. Vance became a graduate of the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas, and a graduate of the University of Houston – Clear Lake with a BA in Humanities, with an emphasis on Literature.

As the Administrative Services Division Commander, Capt. Vance oversees numerous units including Community Outreach, School Resource Officers, Police Training, Recruiting, and the Public Information Office.

Community Outreach
Community Outreach builds partnerships with residents, businesses, and organizations throughout the City.
Honor Guard
The Honor Guard honors officers that are killed in the line of duty or pass away for other reasons
SRO
Our school resource officers positively impact youth and provide security for schools
Police Training
PPD is a licensed training provider and offers select training classes for law enforcement personnel throughout the year.
Quartermaster
The Quartermaster is responsible for equipment, supply and vehicle logistics for the department.
Public Information Officer
The PIO is the primary daytime contact to respond to media requests related to Pearland Police Department.
