What is R.A.D.?

R.A.D., Rape Aggression Defense, is a program filled with realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. This program will begin by teaching women awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, then progress to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. is NOT a martial arts program. This course is taught by R.A.D. certified instructors and will provide students with a reference manual. The manual outlines the entire defense system for reference and continuous personal growth.

Using the average woman’s natural reactions to a threat, R.A.D. teaches simple yet effective techniques against various types of assault backed by solid research and legal defensibility. The unique teaching methodology will provide students with the knowledge to make educated decision about resistance. Students will be taught about “The Fight or Flight Syndrome” and will be encouraged to take an active role in their own self-defense and psychological well-being.
