The Kidz Korner at Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium has received a facelift. The 3-year transformation included new foam flooring and interactive playsets that have replaced the previous basic features. The expanded space allows more room to explore and play. The goal of the redesign included work to enhance room safety and make the room more appealing to the children that visited.
Children in the playroom average 2 hours per visit; infants and toddlers are in the Kiddie Korral section, while older children reside in the Kidz Korner. The Kidz Korner has grown exponentially. Everything from a rope ladder, climbing walls and bridges to keep your child entertained and active while making friends, so you can work out.
The Kiddie Korral area has been expanded by 6 feet with new foam flooring and plexiglas to allow younger children to see the entire room. Previously, a small playset was located in the center of the room, now a larger version with more features and space for children to play has replaced the smaller playset. The cobalt blue color also brightens the room and provides a safe surface for the avid crawlers and those learning to walk.
All the flooring, play structures and Kiddie Korral was put together by the recreation center staff. To learn more about the Kiddie Korral and other features at the RCN, visit pearlandparks.com.
