The Tom Reid Library has a new roof. The roof replacement is part of two supplemental projects to the library expansion - replacement of the existing roof membrane and installation of a fiber connection to City Hall to improve internet connectivity for both City and Library staff.

Robert Upton has been named the Director of Engineering and City Engineer for the City of Pearland. He comes to Pearland with more than 15 years of experience in engineering, project management and surveying, and is licensed as an Engineer in Texas, Arizona and Utah.

In an effort to enhance the Nature Trail near the Sports Complex at Shadow Creek Ranch, the City’s Parks & Recreation Department installed an observation tower that elevates a low section of the trail previously inaccessible during heavy rainfalls. Located at 1801 Kingsley Drive near the Sports Complex at Shadow Creek Ranch, the observation deck is 15 meters above the ground.
