TAKE ACTION TO PREVENT HEATSTROKE
As we enter hotter months the City of Pearland has joined the Safe Kids Texas Heatstroke Task Force to promote heatstroke awareness.

PCPAAA DONATES EQUIPMENT TOTALING $16,000 TO POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association donated 8 fully-equipped Cannondale 29er Law Enforcement 1 patrol bicycles to the Pearland Police Department. The Bike Patrol Unit, a part-time unit within the Operations Division of the Department, recently expanded from six part-time positions to 16 part-time officers which resulted in a need for more bikes.

CITY UPDATES WEEDS AND OFFENSIVE CONDITIONS ORDINANCE TO MAINTAIN ATTRACTIVENESS OF THE CITY
The Pearland Council has amended the ordinance that addresses residential/commercial property maintenance. The amendment requires grass be kept under 9 inches, but that’s the minimum standard when comparing to other area cities.
