Pearland names new Director of Community Development
The City of Pearland announced the appointment of John McDonald as the new Director of Community Development.

Departments located in City Hall Complex moving as part of remodel project
Beginning July 10, all City meetings are moving to the Public Safety Building (PSB), located at 2555 Cullen Blvd. The meetings are expected to be held at the PSB for the next 5 to 6 months.

With the 4th of July approaching, the City of Pearland Fire Department would like to remind residents that open burning and the use of fireworks are strictly prohibited in the city limits of Pearland and surrounding Extraterritorial Jurisdiction.

City receives state award for achievement in communications
The Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers recognized the City of Pearland with the 2017 TAMI Award for Best Media Relations in Texas. TAMI Awards, presented annually to select municipalities, are the highest statewide honor a City or County can achieve for its communication efforts. Contest entries are reviewed and scored by a panel of judges.

Shadow Creek Ranch Trail plans advance for additional connections
