Description
The course will be 8-hours long and include training in Patrol Rifle proficiency and survival tactics. This course is designed to improve the student’s ability to successfully engage targets accurately with speed. The dynamics of Patrol Rifle will be discussed and practiced. Emergency medical procedures will be covered as part of the training.
This course meets Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements #3342
Prerequisite
Any Commissioned / Licensed Peace Officer

Requirements
Patrol Rifle - Magazine fed semi-automatic rifle that uses and was manufactured for the use of detachable magazines with sling, 3 magazines and magazine pouches. No Folding Stocks or Binary Trigger systems allowed. Trigger pull weight must be no less than 3.5 lbs. Short Barrel Rifles must have a barrel length of no less than 10" and accompanied by your NFA Short Barrel Rifle Tax Stamp. No AR style pistols allowed.
300 - 400 Rounds of .223/5.56 ammunition (No Green Tip, Armor Piercing ammo allowed)
Duty Handgun with a ridged non-collapsing holster and magazine pouches for transition drills
100-150 Rounds of handgun ammunition
PPE – Vest, Tourniquet, Hearing and Vision Protection
Other - Dress & Equipment
Tactical style pants, polo or tee shirt (long sleeve tee works great), ball cap, athletic tape, bug spray, sunscreen, snacks and sport drinks
