Crime Victim Assistance Program Mission

The goal of the Crime Victim Assistance Program is to reduce the trauma and insensitive treatment victims / witnesses experience in the aftermath of a crime. To avoid inflicting ‘second victimization’ that has often characterized much of the predicament of the victims of crime. To implement the participation of the victim / witness in the justice system by giving full recognition, and protection to the rights of these individuals.
