Park rules exist for reasons of patron safety, preservation and protection of our parks system. Rules are to be followed by all park visitors and are enforced at all times. Specific rules governing the use of park ponds for fishing follow additional regulations listed below.

Fishing within City of Pearland parks is allowed only at the sites listed below.

  • Centennial Park pond
  • John Hargrove Environmental Complex ponds
  • Independence Park pond

All state fishing regulations are enforced, including size/bag limits and license requirements. More information regarding fishing in Texas regulations can be found on the Texas Parks & Wildlife  website.

Fishing is allowed from pole and line only at City Parks.

Fishing is from the bank only. No wading, canoe/kayak, or boats allowed.

Please properly dispose of fishing line. Fishing line left out can be deadly to wildlife.
