Employment
The Pearland Fire Department (PFD) slogan is “One City. One Mission. One Fire Department,” for a reason. PFD values collaboration and teamwork in day-to-day operations. Since 1947, PFD has evolved from volunteer roots to a department consisting entirely of career firefighters.
The Department currently staffs six fire stations 24/7 while working a 48/96 shift. More staffed stations will be added in the next 4 years. We provide fire suppression, rescue, EMS transport, fire inspection, fire investigation, community outreach, and code enforcement services to a population of over 140,000 in a 75 square-mile area.
Pearland is ranked among the fastest growing mid-sized cities in the United States and the Department is equipped to adapt to the challenges that come with this growth. The Department takes pride in its modern fleet, facilities, and equipment, but our most valuable resource is our people.
The Pearland Fire Department is a fast-paced and progressive department seeking motivated Firefighters/EMT's and Firefighter/Paramedics to join our team. Please see the link above to check for current openings, or to get a head start on our Physical Agility Test.
