The Recreation Center & Natatorium  is located at 4141 Bailey Road at Veterans Drive. The facility aims to provide additional fitness and aquatic opportunities for both the Pearland community and surrounding cities alike. The 107,000-square-foot facility is a joint partnership with the Pearland Independent School District and the Pearland Economic Development Corporation.

The RCN was built by the City on land that Pearland ISD (PISD) deeded as part of an intergovernmental agreement. PISD received 5 swim meets per year and up to 4 1/2 hours per day (Monday through Friday of exclusive access for practice) as part of the agreement and the City built and operates the Recreation Center & Natatorium facility. Pearland voters approved construction of the RCN in 2007 with a bond issue for $15.2 million in City debt financing which was supplemented with $5.4 million in other funding from the Pearland Economic Development Corporation and PISD. Operations from user fees pay a portion, approximately 90 percent, of the annual operating cost. The RCN is an all purpose recreation facility for individuals of all-ages and needs. The facility is home to numerous special events and the administrative offices of the city-wide City of Pearland Parks and Recreation Department.
